Brandon Masele et Laura Defreten r\u00e9utilisent ici les codes et techniques de la danse\u202f<\/span>\u00e9lectro<\/span><\/i>\u202fafin de d\u00e9velopper une \u00e9criture de groupe originale.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

MazelFreten<\/strong><\/p>

Lui est danseur \u00e9lectro, vice-champion du monde de la discipline, Brandon Masele.\u202fElle est danseuse hip-hop, Laura Defretin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ils sont connus dans le monde des battles sous les pseudonymes Miel et Nala. Ils \u00e9cumaient les sc\u00e8nes chacun de leur c\u00f4t\u00e9, travaillant respectivement aussi bien avec Christine and the Queens qu\u2019avec Stromae ou encore Ang\u00e8le jusqu\u2019\u00e0 cette rencontre fortuite dans un studio de danse autour d\u2019un show de quelques minutes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Leur rencontre a eu l\u2019effet catalyseur de vouloir mettre en commun un bout de leur histoire entre cultures \u00e9lectro et hip-hop. Duo d\u2019une extr\u00eame sensibilit\u00e9 ils dansent une relation fusionnelle, symbiotique, boulevers\u00e9e par l\u2019envie de se red\u00e9couvrir \u00e0 travers la danse. Ils cr\u00e9ent \u00e0 eux deux un langage distinctif, une gestuelle propre \u00e0 leur univers chor\u00e9graphique, gestuelle qui emm\u00e8ne la danse \u00e9lectro et le hip-hop vers un public plus large.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Profond\u00e9ment passionn\u00e9s par la danse et son histoire, ils \u0153uvrent, respectivement, pour promouvoir leurs communaut\u00e9s d\u2019artistes en mettant en place divers \u00e9v\u00e8nements (battles ALMD, BOMA MUTU, conf\u00e9rences, camps de danse, etc). Il est primordial pour eux de cr\u00e9er des espaces de rencontre et d\u2019expression pour pousser les danseurs \u00e0 se d\u00e9passer dans leurs d\u00e9marches artistiques, personnelles comme professionnelles.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00c0 ce jour, la compagnie MazelFreten compte \u00e0 son actif cinq cr\u00e9ations : <\/span>Untitled<\/span><\/i> (2016) qui a remport\u00e9 le prix Trans\u2019Urbaine, <\/span>Perception<\/span><\/i> (2020), <\/span>Rave Lucid<\/span><\/i> (2022) s\u00e9lection Danse \u00e9largie 2021, <\/span>Bis Repetita <\/span><\/i>(2022), <\/span>1+1=1<\/span><\/i> (2023) solo de Laura Defretin, <\/span>M\u00e9mento<\/span><\/i> (2023) pi\u00e8ce collective \u00e9lectro hip-hop, <\/span>1+1=2 <\/span><\/i>(2024) solo de Brandon Masele. Ces spectacles sont jou\u00e9s en France et \u00e0 l\u2019international.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
