Discover the UNDER/GROUND teaser

UNDER/GROUND 2026 now has its own visuals. Directed by Ocke Films, the teaser condenses into just a few dozen seconds what the event unfolds over fifteen days: bodies in motion, dances rooted in battles, clubs and balls, and a collective energy that doesn’t wait for the stage to exist.

The collaboration with Ocke Films dates back to 2015. A production company based between Paris and Montpellier, Ocke Films has developed in close proximity to hip hop cultures, working across music videos, dancer portraits and event recordings. This closeness to the practices championed by UNDER/GROUND is evident in the imagery: bodies are filmed from within the movement, without hierarchy or imposed staging.

The teaser’s music is by Crystallmess, alias Christelle Oyiri, producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist. The track, Mariage Burlesque, is taken from her self-produced 2018 EP Mere Noises: a tense, insistent sonic material shaped by coupé-décalé and deconstructed club music. Crystallmess’s work explores the connections between diasporic memory, club cultures and electronic music—an approach that resonates directly with UNDER/GROUND’s line: practices born in communities, carried onto stages without losing their origins.
