A PowerPoint in the colours of the Algerian flag, a table, a microphone. The structure is that of a conference, but the form very quickly explodes its own framework. Habibitch speaks, dances, addresses the audience, digresses, makes us laugh and makes us think in the same movement.
Drawing on her own experience — Algerian, queer, dancer, activist — she deconstructs colonial, gender and sexuality norms. The dance is not an illustration of the argument: it is its demonstration. The body provides proof of what the words put forward. Funny, hard-hitting and downright necessary.
