Interférence(s) – Maison Lou(p)
In cooperation with l’Autre lieu – Médiathèque du Rheu
As part of the Interférence(s) programme, Oumrata Konan brings her first choreographic creation, in an in-situ form, to the médiathèque de L’Autre Lieu, in Le Rheu.
Oumrata Konan’s first choreographic creation, Maison Lou(p) questions incest as a systemic phenomenon hidden behind family façades. Drawing on her own story and on the work of anthropologist Dorothée Dussy, the piece uses whacking as a language of urgency and survival. Designed first and foremost for young audiences, it creates a space to break the silence.
The short in-situ performance (20 minutes) is followed by a meeting / discussion (1 hour), co-built with local partners from the social and child protection sectors, led by a specialised facilitator and designed as a space for speech, in direct resonance with the themes carried by the artist.
